Mumbai, June 4: First it was the men, Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar. And now it is the turn of Bollywood's women. Actress Priyanka Chopra has signed a three film deal with UTV, a move which marks the rapid inroads that the corporate world is making into Bollywood. UTV is calling it a 'one of a kind' with a leading lady. Well, it sure is. In a industry, driven by men, this is the first for a woman.
Priyanka is quite excited about the deal. Besides getting an opportunity to work in good films under the banner, she will have the freedom to choose the film she wants to work in. She can choose her director, her script, and even the technicians, if she so wishes. Priyanka refused to divulge the contract amount, but it is believed to be worth 4-5 crores. Let's hope that this arrangement works and doesn't fizzle out like Hrithik's and Akshay's did.
