I was cynical for underwear ad: Sanah Khan

With her tantalizing looks, Sanah Khan has already set the arena of television commercials ablaze. And now she has her eyes set on Bollywood.

Q: How did you land the Amul Macho commercial?
A: The offer is linked to my X Box 360 commercial, I got noticed in it and was called for auditions.

Q: Were you skeptical about doing this ad?
A: Yes, it being an advertisement for underwear, I was cynical. I had imagined there would be a man standing next to me wearing only underwear. But then I was told there was no man in the commercial. But even that didn't convince me much. Later, they called me again and read out the entire script. It sounded very different so I agreed.

Q: This commercial got into a lot of controversies. What's your take on that?
A: Yes, I know. It's sad to know that without any valid reason it got hyped. I don't find anything controversial in the commercial.

Q: You have done an item number in Meri Doli Tere Aangna Ki. How did you get this work and how important is it for you?
A: I share a good rapport with the choreographer, Habiba Rehman. She was the one who made me the offer. It is not going to give a push to my career as I am not that highlighted in the song. It's just that I love dancing so I agreed to do it.

Q: Have you got any offers to act in television? How interested are you in acting in the first place?
A: I have been getting offers for the past one year, but I am not that interested in doing television.

Q: Were you doing ramp shows previously?
A: Not really. I started with commercials and then did shows for Westside.

Q: Which other commercials featuring you are in the pipeline?
A: There are seven of them on the cards --- Cobra soda, Emami Fair and Handsome with Shah Rukh Khan, Parachute hair oil and a few others. I am also there in the promotional song of Bombay To Goa. Then I am doing some projects in the south.

Q: How supportive is your family in your career?
A: They are very supportive, if they weren't I doubt I would have been here.

Q: Have you got any offers from Bollywood so far?
A: I have, but they are not interesting enough. I am looking forward to a proper role, with a proper star cast.

Q: Have you taken formal training in acting?
A: No, I don't have any such training.

Q: If you weren't in the glamour industry where would you have been?
A: If not in entertainment and media, I would have been an air hostess. Even that profession has a lot of glamour.

Q: What's your aim?
A: To climb the career ladder, and establish myself as a fine actress.

Q: Your passion?
A: Dancing, dancing and dancing. -Jayant Mishra

Kareena and Shahid mobbed in Shimla

Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur were mobbed by fans while shooting for Imtiaz Ali's yet untitled love story at a railway station in Shimla.

'The incident happened at the Shimla railway station which was initially secluded and quiet but in an hour's time word spread that a film was being shot there and people started pouring in,' said Parag Desai, spokesperson for Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd., which is producing the film.

The crowd became so uncontrollable that the director had to call off the shooting. The actors were bundled away from the spot and the police were called.

'Suddenly, there was a sea of people. They would just not let the actors do their work. We had to quickly get Kareena and Shahid away as things were getting out of hand. The shoot had to be stopped for that day.

'The cops arrived and dispersed the crowd and shooting resumed only to be stopped again. Some portions of the film were then shot in the nearby mountains to avoid the milling crowd,' added Desai.

The film is mainly shot in Punjab and the unit had to face this problem there as well.

'It happened wherever they went. It could also be that such areas don't chance upon big stars so they go berserk. In Patiala too there was an exterior shot which had to be cancelled due to crowds,' said Desai.

Ali's film is slated to release by the end of this year. He has earlier directed the Ayesha Takia and Abhay Deol starrer Socha Na Tha.
